I run a retail watch brand called Wagstaff Watches (102 years old this year!) and joined the Nudge Unit after listening avidly to the podcast each week, I jumped quickly to get on the first cohort and SO glad I did - the first week was intense learning and the follow weeks all about execution and effective implementation and it worked well for us. Perhaps more importantly than fitting these learnings in with our broader marketing mix was the fire it lit under out marketing efforts and the brand across the communications spectrum. I simply cannot recommend this enough to the next cohort - but you do have to work at it.

A fascinating insight into the behavioural science that we all know is part of our day to day life, whether it be in a buying experience in a shop or the tools used to direct you to an internet purchase. However, this course took us behind the psychology that develops these techniques and the wider application of them in other areas of life. Personally, I have been looking at how these tools can help to integrate two teams with very different cultural backgrounds and where the EAST framework can be applied to how these teams interact with each other. I am also using it to be far more targeted in the approach we have to gaining new clients. This course has given me the space to experiment and tools to be able to explore a much more measured and scientific way of approaching the challenges I have in growing a small, serviced based business. I looked forward to every session and the cohort in which I found myself was very diverse in its range of business experience and personalities. All were keen to contribute to the immersive experience and helped to make this course the success it was Phill's delivery and facilitation was engaging and directly to the point. It is also very individualised and I never expected to have a personally curated experience in the way that I did. Phill is invested in the outcome of all members of the cohort and I massively appreciate the ongoing support. I have also made some great connections with other course members and know that we can all support each other in applying the learning. Do attend this course, if you get the opportunity and you are looking to understand why people make the decisions they make. It is invaluable in sales and marketing as well as in consciously directing communication in any business or social setting. It was Paul Waltzlawick who said in one of his Axioms: 'it is impossible not to behave, it is also impossible not to communicate'. With the knowledge from this course, one can communicate with purpose and maybe behave with intent too!

The EAST framework seems straightforward. Then you take this course and realize your website has devolved into the same ramblings as the others. Thats the beauty of this course and its main differentiator. You learn and have Phil to help you. Changing your message to match your USPs is incredibly valuable and well worth the cost and then some.
