The course content is very thorough and well structured to give a deeper understanding of concepts we’ve heard. Rupa is an exceptional teacher and leads with a lot of empathy along with the expertise she carries and goes above and beyond to ensure each participant gets the best out of the course. She's patient and answers each participant, creating a safe space. After reading the course materials, I felt very empowered to be able to understand the AI vocabulary and catch up on the implication on design from systems level thinking down to thinking about designing AI patterns that humans understand. Over the weeks of the program, the reading material, live lessons, and assignments have levelled up my game on how I partner with AI and tools like Claude. There are framework and practical strategies that I now leverage—better prompts, clearer context, stronger foundations—to get significantly better AI outputs. I am now able to translate AI theory to real design decisions. Getting more hands on with leveraging AI tools and generating useful outputs is something I cherish and will continue to build on. Each session and interaction with cohort will up level the thinking and how designers in other organisations are navigating the AI driven changes. The cohort totally is a great place to learn from each participant, their ways of working, tips and hacks, alternatives they’ve explored etc. That’s a bonus too.  

The Human Centered AI Design course is a must for any designer wanting to break into AI. It covers core concepts like machine learning, system prompts, and conversational design in a way that's practical and immediately applicable. The capstone project structure means you leave with real portfolio work, not just theory. Highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this course if you're just starting out or have already been tinkering with creating AI-powered experiences. The course shines a bright light on the value of design thinking in shaping these experiences and it demonstrates the mental model necessary for influencing probabilistic systems.
