Amy Jo Kim has created a practical program to test one's theories about a product and get some results on design before investing significant resources to find out what one needs to know. I learned so much through creating a habit loop, setting up test journeys through storyboarding, and analyzing the onboarding experience of a competitor. Being in the course with other folks doing different projects was also very stimulating. I learned from their work as well. I highly recommend this course!

Amy Jo's master class on journey design was incredibly practical. The framework and approach she shared is something that I will be incorporating in my community building work for enterprises and nonprofits. I was especially impressed with how she incorporated our own sessions in recaps and modified the course based on her learners on the fly.

What really clicked for me was habit stacking. Personally, I found this insight pretty powerful: instead of constantly fighting for a user's attention, you just cleverly attach what you want them to do (like using your app) onto a routine they already have – their anchor habit. Think about it – the user doesn't need a separate reminder because their existing habit automatically becomes the trigger for your app. It just makes using it feel way more seamless and natural, less like a chore. Plus, digging into which specific habits you can stack onto really forces you to get specific about who your target users are and what their actual daily lives look like. It's subtle, yeah, but it hits the mark for both getting users engaged and helping you nail down who you're building for.
