Before taking this course, I was afraid of using the terminal because I thought I might break something. Now after 6 weeks of learning and delivering my capstone project, I feel much more comfortable navigating through code, understanding development workflows, and having conversations with developers that I previously struggled to follow. The most valuable part of this course was not just learning how to build things with AI tools, but understanding better how design and engineering can work together. I now feel I have enough technical knowledge to better understand developers’ needs and collaborate more effectively with them.

This is a fantastic, hands-on, and incredibly practical course. It's a lot packed into a short time frame, but when you finish you'll be so much more than a "vibe coder." Nevan teaches students to be intentional and develop a basic understanding of code and mechanics so that they're in the driver's seat, not the LLM. I've learned skills I can immediately put to use at my company (and in my spare time as a builder :) If you're afraid of the terminal or this new wave of tools, don't be! Nevan is super approachable and a font of knowledge. 100% would recommend!

I came into this course as a designer who avoided the terminal. Six weeks later I deployed a full-stack capstone: a client booking app with an owner dashboard, PostgreSQL, auth, and transactional email, live on Netlify. I learned to scope ruthlessly, deploy early, and use Cursor as a collaborator, not as another intelligent chatbot that sometimes obeys and sometimes doesn't. I still think like a designer, but now I can understand faster how to make an idea buildable before I polish pixels. That shift feels permanent. Highly recommend for designers who want to ship real software, not just mockups.

This was a great class for a Product Designer interested in AI Coding. Nevan breaks down complex concepts in a way that feels approachable and actionable, and creates a supportive environment where questions are always welcome. You can learn at your own pace through videos while also getting real-time support when needed. Students walked away with a clearer understanding and skills they can immediately apply.

This course is genuinely designed with product designers in mind - and you feel that from the very first session. The moment I pushed my first piece of code and watched my app deploy, something shifted. Getting comfortable with branching, pull requests, understanding the different layers of what I was building - and then actually changing things myself - that's when it stopped feeling like someone else's world and started feeling like mine. One of the most valuable things was the guidance around what to use and when. Frameworks, platforms, structures, approaches - things can be built in countless different ways, and knowing which fits your project, your goals, your scale is genuinely daunting. Having those conversations, getting real insight and being encouraged to explore and find out for ourselves made an enormous difference. That kind of contextual knowledge is exactly where a course like this earns its place. Nevan is an exceptional teacher. Knowledgeable, warm and remarkably attentive - the kind of instructor who restructures an entire session on the spot if that's what the group needs. The community that forms around the course is a highlight in itself - generous, supportive and full of people figuring it out together. I came in as a designer. I left empowered. Highly recommend.
